Join Us @ A4Cloud Stakeholder Workshop on Legal aspects of Cloud Accountability!

Date:
Tuesday, September 23, 2014

It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in the A4Cloud stakeholders workshop to be held in De Admirant, Emmasingel 11 in Eindhoven on Thursday, September 25th 2014.

As (potential) business users of the cloud you may wonder what happens with your or your clients’ data, and to what extent you or your cloud provider are responsible if something goes wrong. Our workshop is aimed at gaining an understanding of your concerns, as a (potential) cloud user, regarding the handling of your, or your customers’, data in the cloud. Your input will be used in the development of tools such as the Data Protection Impact Assessment tool, and in informing the EU Commission on cloud and future Internet services. You will help shape the content of the workshop, ensuring that the topics that are important to you are reflected in the tools to be developed in the project. During the workshop we will also inform you about the upcoming General Data Protection Regulation that will replace the current Data Protection Directive in due course and how this affects your business and demonstrate a tool that may help you cope with the upcoming regulation, the Data Protection Impact Assessment tool that we are developing.

The workshop will be conducted in English with a maximum of 30 participants. If you are interested in following this workshop you can enrol via emailing F.Abousalama@uvt.nl before September 24th.

The workshop agenda will be as follows:

16:15 Coffee

16:30 Welcome & Introduction

16:35 Workshop Part I: Cloud concerns and risks of data in the cloud

17:05 Workshop Part II: Legal aspects of cloud and accountability (New General Data Protection Regulation & Data Protection Impact Assessment tool)

The workshop results will be documented in a report, which will be available to all participants. Participants can choose to remain anonymous, but if not they will be acknowledged in the project documentation.
