Date:
Monday, October 6, 2014

A4Cloud organised its first training workshop, during the IFIP summer school on Privacy and Identity Management held in Patras (Greece). The workshop took place on the 8th of September 2014. The first A4Cloud tutorial was the first one of its type in the area of accountability in the cloud. The main aim of the workshop was to introduce the core concepts of accountability in the cloud to researchers in the field of ‘privacy and identity management’. It was meant to be a reference event for training researchers in the area of Accountability. This tutorial was the first in a series of tutorials on the A4Cloud project and tools. Our purpose was to introduce the topics and the problem and how the tools we are going to develop could help. It was not intended to analyse the different regulatory issues that might influence accountability.

The training workshop was evolved in the following presentations:

  • Introduction - What could A4Cloud do for you? Survey on Metrics for accountability, by Carmen Fernandez-Gago (UMA)
  • Privacy issues - A4Cloud overview - Data track tool, by Simone Fischer-Huebner (KaU)
  • A particular case: The COAT tool, by Rehab Alnemr (HP)
